This week’s special guest on A Black Woman’s Podcast is Khloe Hines, founder of virtual donut shop Hungry Bunny. She talked us through her inspiring journey and what it was like going viral after being featured on Beyoncé's Black Parade.
Early in 2020, Khloe found herself caught in the monotony of a job where she was doing repetitive tasks that left her feeling unfulfilled and drained. She wanted more out of life, but instead of looking for another job, she decided to take a leap of faith and bet on herself. Little did she know that this bold decision would lead to the birth of Hungry Bunny, a flourishing small business that has caught the attention of Black Women Owned Businesses in Forbes, Beyoncé's Black Parade and several media outlets.
Khloe’s sweet beginnings
Raised in a family that cherished desserts as the highlight of most days, Khloe has always had a deep-rooted love for all things sweet. She often found herself turning to her journal for inspiration and clarity on how to turn her passion into a thriving venture, so her brand began to take shape within those pages.
As she began to put her plans into action, Khloe began to build her brand from the ground up. And she’s been growing and scaling her business organically since. She now boasts a thriving community of over 2,000 dedicated fans and customers. Which illustrates the power of her talent and genuine connection with her audience.
Walking in her purpose
Khloe is finally in a place where she’s walking in her purpose. Even in moments of doubt and fear, she continues to push forward. As she reflects on her journey, she shares, "Every time I feel a moment of defeat or self-doubt, somehow God reassures me that this is not something I can just give up on. I hold space here. When I am scared, I am steadily teaching myself to run towards my fears. I was so scared that I would not have one customer. But God."
